Bus station renovation has begun

5 months geleden
Over the next few years, Schiphol’s bus station will undergo a major renovation. The station will not only be upgraded but also expanded, with a direct connection to the train station. During the renovation, temporary bus stops will be set up, which will be operational from spring 2025. Clear signage will guide passengers and Schiphol workers to the right stops.
The first phase has already begun, with BAM as the contractor. By 2027, the new bus station will be completed, featuring a covered platform with 20 bus stops. The transfer between train and bus will be made easier with three new staircases directly connecting to the train platforms. Additionally, a new bicycle parking facility for about 500 bikes will be added, and surrounding roads will be reconfigured.
This renovation is a collaborative effort between Schiphol, ProRail, NS, the Ministry of Infrastructure and Water Management, and the Amsterdam Transport Region. The new bus station will make Schiphol even more accessible and provide a more efficient travel experience.
