Spot on Food: a successful culinary walk through Schiphol’s hotspots

Nearly 300 participants explored the culinary hotspots of the Schiphol Business District on 24 September during Spot on Food. During this culinary discovery tour, we visited six different venues and enjoyed six surprising bites, each paired with a matching drink.
Taste, discover and connect
Spot on Food brought the Spot Schiphol community together in a unique way. The route took participants past VIVA & The Market, Hilton Amsterdam Airport Schiphol, Sheraton Amsterdam Airport Hotel & Conference Center, Schiphol Headquarters Park, and Schiphol Headquarters Pocket Park. We started and ended the event together at The Square.
At each location, something special was waiting for participants. In addition to a delicious dish and a perfectly paired drink, guests could take part in a fun activity. The event offered the perfect combination of relaxation, adventure, and connection.
From karaoke to live entertainment along the way
Along the route, there was not only plenty to taste, but also lots to experience. At Schiphol Headquarters, visitors enjoyed live music and had the chance to showcase their singing talents in the popular Magic Karaoke Space Wagon. At VIVA & The Market, interactive games created a lively and welcoming atmosphere, while at Hilton Amsterdam Airport Schiphol, a disco DJ kept the energy high and the dance floor moving. At Sheraton Amsterdam Airport Hotel & Conference Center, participants could capture fun memories with colleagues in the photobooth.
Each location brought its own unique atmosphere and character, ensuring that every stop along the route offered new surprises and memorable experiences.
Together, we make the community stronger
Beyond the culinary highlights, Spot on Food was above all about strengthening the Schiphol community. At the start of the event, participants received a bingo card featuring questions about fellow community members. Who has ever eaten insects? Who has a view of aircraft from their office? And who has been working in the Schiphol area for more than 10 years?
The challenge encouraged attendees to strike up conversations, get to know new people, and discover interesting stories about one another. It was a fun and engaging way to meet new connections and bring the community closer together.
