Host and first speaker TEDxAmsterdam side event announced

She’s bold, she’s not afraid to speak her mind and she’s returning to Schiphol on November 18: we are thrilled to announce that Sofie van den Enk will be our wonderful host once again this year.

We’re also excited to share that we’ve got our hands on a brilliant first speaker: Michel Taal. Michel is an accomplished serial entrepreneur and former theoretical physicist and consultant with McKinsey & Company. Next to his day job running his company, Michel’s passion project is popularizing the ‘failure target method’. 12 years ago Michel decided to ‘fix’ his risk aversion. However, just as you cannot decide to be fit, you cannot decide to be fearless: “risk appetite is like a muscle you need to train”.
