What do we know about the line-up of the TEDxAmsterdam side event?
Not much has been said about the line-up of this year's TEDxAmsterdam side event yet. The program promises to six to eight inspiring speakers, half of which are provided by TEDxAmsterdam. But who are these speakers and what will be the subject of their TED talks?

Nina Gaissert (powered by TEDxAmsterdam)
Nina Gaissert is a scientist at the Max Planck Institute for Biological Cybernetics and leads the Corporate Bionic Research team of robot company Festo. In her talk 'Ideas fly with bionic thinking', Gaissert examines the power of animals and nature with technological developments.

Mohammed Tlej and Michel Jacobs (powered by TEDxAmsterdam)
Michel Jacobs walked from Damascus to Amsterdam in the 80s in full freedom. Mohammed Tlej walked the same route in 2015, only to flee from the war in Syria. Currently Tlej and Michel are sharing a house in Amsterdam through Takecarebnb. During their TED talk in Amsterdam and at Schiphol, they will tell their remarkable story.

Unknown
The third speaker or act of TEDxAmsterdam has not been announced yet.

Other speakers:

Michel Taal
Michel is an accomplished serial entrepreneur and former consultant with McKinsey & Company. Twelve years ago, he decided to ‘fix’ his risk aversion. However, just as you cannot decide to be fit, you cannot decide to be fearless: “risk appetite is like a muscle you need to train”.

Marjolein Jonker
Is bigger always better? When it comes to housing, some would argue that square footage isn’t really as important as most of us make it out to be. Earlier this year, Marjolein Jonker moved from a 100m2 standard single family home to a 20m2 Tiny House and discovered that by giving up space she gained quality of life. Slowly but surely this small movement has morphed into a Tiny House revolution across the globe.

Koen Veltman
Many companies seek to flatter, faster and better organizational methods. The hierarchies we maintain often delay work and can be very dangerous in large non-transparent organizations. Koen Veltman helps companies introduce Holacracy: an "operating system for organizations".
